We are calling on all bikers and cyclist enthusiasts to come and take part in a charity ride to raise money for Lance Armstrongs LIVESTRONG cancer charity

Whether you're a mountain biker, a roadie, a tri-athlete or just someone who enjoys a little spin at the weekend, HKMBA is asking for your help. On 18th January 2009 HKMBA will be helping out at "Le Tour de Hong Lok Yuen" a charity bike ride to race money and awareness for the LIVESTRONG charity.

We are looking for volunteers to help us with some mini even we are holding and to promote HKMBA's cause.

Along with Steve from Cross CountryHK we will be doing basic bike checks for competitors pre-ride. We will be organising skills courses for children and novices, including how to brake, changing gears and basic balancing skills. We will also be running some fun races, a slow race and bike battleships.

To make all these things run smoothly we need some people to help us out on the day, you don't need to be an expert to help out, its all about creating a community. So if you are interested in having a fun day out with like-minded people, support the community and help encourage young kids to get on a bike then contact us at:

Or come along and take part in the ride!

If you cant make it on the day you can still help out by donating directly to the LIVESTRONG charity, a charity founded by cancer survivor Lance Armstrong to help cancer sufferers, raise awareness of the disease and aid in new research.
